Taller 5 Life Refibre: Transferencia de resultados finales del proyecto REFIBRE
La jornada, presentada por el consorcio a cargo del proyecto: CARTIF, ICCL, Grupo INCOSA, BLASGÓN y SAN GREGORIO, tendrá lugar el próximo jueves 17 de diciembre de 10.00 a 14.00h con retransmisión en streaming.
El taller será el evento principal para compartir los resultados obtenidos del proyecto LIFE REFIBRE que ha dado nombre a los talleres durante las cinco jornadas organizadas.
El objetivo clave es dar a conocer datos, ventajas e inconvenientes y lecciones aprendidas, entre otros, que se han recopilado durante los tres años que ha durado el proyecto. Además se pretende dar difusión a los resultados del proyecto Life REFIBRE y poner en conjunto las lecciones aprendidas con los asistentes para que como resultado se realice una reflexión de la importancia de la aplicación de la economía circular en los nuevos proyectos que se lleven a cabo, siempre de la mano de la innovación.
A su vez se contará en la jornada con ponentes de primera línea para poder transmitir a los asistentes la importancia que tienen las iniciativas innovadoras en los tiempos en los que vivimos.
Con la presencia de investigadores, proyectos de I+D+i y de la mano de la industria se busca poner el broche final a la consecución de los cinco talleres programados alcanzando la visión de todos los sectores.
El objetivo del proyecto LIFE REFIBRE es promover la gestión integrada de los residuos plásticos reforzados con fibra de vidrio (PRFV) que conforman las palas de aerogereneradores una vez finalizada su vida útil. Promueve la reciclabilidad completa y de alta calidad de su compuesto mayoritario, la fibra de vidrio (64% total del peso), favoreciendo la recuperación de estos residuos en pro de una reducción de su presencia en vertederos y dotándoles de un segundo ciclo de vida para una aplicación de alto valor añadido: su incorporación a aglomerado asfáltico.

The conference, hosted by the consortium in charge of the project: CARTIF, ICCL, Grupo INCOSA, BLASGÓN y SAN GREGORIO, will take place on December 17st, from 10:00 to 14:00 online.
The workshop will be the main event for sharing the results obtained from the LIFE REFIBRE project that has given its name to the workshops during the five days organised.
The key objective is to share data, advantages and disadvantages and lessons learned, among others, that have been collected during the three years of the project. In addition, it is intended to disseminate the results of the Life REFIBRE project and to bring together the lessons learned with the participants so that, as a result, a reflection on the importance of the application of the circular economy in the new projects to be carried out can take place, always hand in hand with innovation.
At the same time, the conference will have top-level speakers to convey to those attending the importance of innovative initiatives in the times in which we live.
With the presence of researchers, R+D+i projects and the hand of the industry, the aim is to put the finishing touches to the achievement of the five programmed workshops, reaching the vision of all the sectors.
LIFE REFIBRE project’s objective is to promote the waste management of glass-reinforced plastic (GRP), “fiberglass” used in wind turbine’s blades once its service life comes to the end. Giving a second life cycle to these wastes, reusing as asphalt agglomerate, reduces the presence of this material in landfills for a high value application. Even more, it promotes high quality results and the complete recyclability of its main material: the fiberglass (64% total weight).
